Q&A

Can I used the Ultra Calming Cleanser after my milkfoliant?
Hello Maria, Thank you for your inquiry! We’re happy to help with your routine. Here’s a general example of the recommended order of application: Precleanse > Cleanser > Exfoliant > Masque (2–3 times per week) > Toner > Serums or targeted treatments > Eye treatment > Moisturizer (and SPF in the morning) We recommend using the Daily Milkfoliant after your UltraCalming Cleanser for gentle exfoliation. Please let us know if you’d like product suggestions tailored to your skin type or concerns—we’d love to assist! Kindly, Sandra Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapist
Hi what is the pH of this cleanser? Is it okay to use the precleanse before this product? Thank you
Hello Alley, Thank you for your question. All Dermalogica products are carefully formulated to support the skin's natural functions. Unless specified otherwise, they are pH-balanced to align with the skin's natural pH range of 4 to 6. PreCleanse is an excellent first step for removing makeup, sunscreen, excess oil, and impurities. After using PreCleanse, simply follow with the UltraCalming Cleanser to soothe and calm sensitive or irritated skin while providing thorough cleansing. I hope this information helps. Kindly, Sandra
I only wipe the product with cotton pads, but I still don't feel comfortable. I wonder if not rinsing with water will harm the skin after long use.
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to Dermalogica. We understand your concern. We want you to be 100% comfortable with using your routine. Rest assured, the UltraCalming Cleanser is designed to either rinse or remove the product off with cotton pads without causing any harm to the skin! Kind Regards, Beatriz.
Is this noncomedogenic?
Hello Laura, Thank you for reaching out to Dermalogica. Thank you for your question. We do not use this marketing phrase on our packaging because what may clog your pores may not clog someone else's pores. Is this gluten free? It came recommended to me, but I have celiac disease and need gf skincare.
Hello Kim, Thank you for your question. Although there is no standard for establishing a gluten-free designation for topical skin care products, independent laboratory testing confirms that all Dermalogica products surpass the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration) ingestible standards and can therefore be considered gluten-free.
